Ministry Description

I'm going to be teaching English to college-age students who are attending our 8-month program called CCM, Centro de Capacitación (translation, Ministry Training Center). It is similar to a Bible institute. There, the students will be taught the Bible and English while being mentored. I am going to be mentoring a couple of the female students who are attending. Additionally, I will help run the Bible clubs held on the property for the children and around the neighborhood.

While I am doing ministry, I will be earning my degree in Early Childhood Development- Specializing in Special Education online with Liberty University.

About Victoria

I grew up in a family that loved the Lord and brought me to church every week. At the young age of 7, my mom shared the gospel with me in my room and I accepted the Lord that night. Growing up, I didn't fully understand the relationship aspect of being a Christian. I thought it was all about knowing all the correct answers, doing good deeds, and memorizing scripture. Going into middle school, I grew more into my relationship with God. That is when it became more personal. Later in high school, I rededicated my life to Christ while on a mission trip. Ever since then, I've been trying my best to walk closely with the Lord and show His love to others.
My desire to go into missions started when I was younger. A different missionary would come to my Sunday school class each year and share what they do to serve the Lord in other countries. Because of their stories and testimonies, I wanted to be a missionary. At the time, I didn't fully understand what it was like to be a missionary. Later on in 8th grade, I went on my first mission trip to Wisconsin to reach the Native American tribes. It was an eye-opening experience and taught me more about what missionaries do and how they live. A couple of years later, I went on a mission trip to Peru. This was the trip that placed the South American/Latina culture in my heart. I prayed that the Lord would lead me back to the mission field someday.
After I graduated high school, I came to Word of Life Bible Institute. This is where I heard about their Cross-Cultural Internship program. When I heard about this program, my heart was instantly drawn to it. After a couple of conversations and prayer, I concluded that this was where the Lord was calling me. I prayed that I would get the opportunity to go into the mission field someday and the Lord has placed this opportunity in front of me. I’m excited to see what the Lord does through me and this ministry!

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. - Galatians 2:20-21
