Ministry Description

As the academic secretary, my responsibilities include, but are not limited to, setting up and administering the learning management system (Moodle), supervising academic records, correcting assignments, overseeing the library, and communicating with both teachers and students. I also have the opportunity to support students who are struggling academically. Outside of this role, I am involved in other ministry activities, such as serving on the worship team, assisting with camps, and discipling students.

About Victoria

I grew up as a missionary kid (MK) in West Africa and now live in the Canadian province of Quebec, where both of my parents work full-time in Christian ministries. My parents are both dedicated to their faith, so I was introduced to the Gospel at a very early age.

When I was four years old, I asked my mother why Christ died on the cross. She explained to me that humans are sinful; each of us deserves death because we reject God, our Creator. However, He loved us so much that He sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to die in our place. Through this sacrifice, our broken relationship with God is restored, and we are promised eternity in His presence. She then asked me if I believed all of this, and I said yes.

Many years later, I felt called to ministry during my year as a student at the Word of Life Institute in Quebec. God opened my eyes to the hopelessness within Quebec society and placed a burden on my heart for its people. For a long time, I resisted this call because I was more interested in doing missions overseas. I believed that God would send others to Quebec and that I would not be one of them. Then, through prayer, Bible reading, and introspection, He led me to acknowledge the fact that I am well-equipped to serve in Quebec as I am fluent in French and am familiar with the culture. He was calling me, and I had no reason to refuse. I submitted to His will and pursued this ministry opportunity. He has opened every door since.

Isaiah 53:5 : But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
