Ministry Description

My name is Jordan Wertz, Word of Life Local Church Missionary to central Pennsylvania, western Maryland, and eastern West Virginia.

My passion is to reach today's youth through evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training. Our goal is to help local churches develop vibrant youth ministries.

About Jordan

We both grew up in Christian families, and came to faith in Jesus as children. We attended the Word of Life Bible Institute from 1998 until 2000. It was there that we met, and began serving the Lord together. We saw the influence that Word of Life missionaries had in both of our churches, and with our youth leaders. We wanted to have that same kind of ministry: encouraging and training youth leaders, sharing the gospel, and seeing youth challenged to serve the Lord with their lives.
After being accepted as missionaries with Word of Life Local Church Ministries in 2003, we spent the next ten years serving in eastern and central Michigan. In 2014, we were asked to relocate to the MidAtlantic region.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,39
