Hi, I'm Andrew Ward. I minister in the United States.
As an Open Air Evangelism intern at Word of Life Fellowship, I'll be traveling across the United States to major cities and towns, partnering with local churches to take students and other groups out for Gospel proclamation in public spaces.
My responsibilities include training and leading evangelism teams to proclaim the Gospel boldly and lovingly to complete strangers, partnering with churches to mobilize believers for Gospel outreach, and engaging in one-on-one Gospel conversations to help people understand their need for Christ. I'll also be responsible for follow-up and discipleship with those who respond to the Gospel, taking students and groups out on evangelism outreaches to equip them to share their faith, and continuing to develop my own skills in Gospel proclamation and evangelism.
Alongside this ministry, I'm studying theology, Greek, and apologetics through a Master of Theology program at Dallas Theological Seminary (online) to deepen my understanding of God's Word so I can more faithfully defend and proclaim the Gospel.

I accepted Christ at age five through my father's clear presentation of the Gospel. It was a blessing growing up on the Word of Life campus in Ontario, as I was surrounded by people who loved Christ and studied His Word deeply. I knew the truth of Scripture, but I was still struggling with social anxiety and isolation. Word of Life students discipled me, and I discovered that the Gospel isn't something we need just once—it's the truth we must continually rely on.
During high school, I volunteered doing videography at Word of Life camps. The summer after I graduated, a discipler asked if I'd preach on the fruit of the Spirit. I chose peace—something I struggled with. As I studied Philippians 4:6–7 to prepare, God challenged me to practice what I was about to preach. He freed me from anxiety and gave me courage to overcome my nervousness about public speaking.
Just days after I preached that message, one of my unbelieving friends from school suddenly passed away. I'd had many chances to share the Gospel with him, but I hadn't. That loss placed a deep burden in my heart: I needed to be intentional about reaching the lost with the Gospel. It challenged me to put into practice everything that passage had taught me.
Over the following years, as passionate as I am about videography, God's calling on my life has become clear: to teach God's Word and proclaim the Gospel. During an internship in Quebec, I experienced the joy of sharing the Gospel in French. During my second year at Word of Life Bible Institute in Pottersville, I joined the Open Air Evangelism ministry. With each outreach, that burden deepened, and I knew this was what God had called me to do.
As I prayed about continuing my education, I heard about Word of Life's partnership with Dallas Theological Seminary. The Master of Theology stood out—it allows me to study God's Word deeply in the original languages with a concentration in philosophy and apologetics, which connects directly to evangelism. This felt like an answer to prayer, honestly a dream come true. I had always thought Dallas was out of reach for me. It allows me to gain practical ministry experience through the internship while receiving serious Bible training from one of the best seminaries in the world.
