Ministry Description

The Great Commissions reminds me to reach my world through evangelism and discipleship. Through Bible Clubs, I am able to teach youths and children the Word of God. I interact with ladies from high schools and universities on a weekly basis. We do a lesson together and draw practical applications which we can use for the week when we are not together. I am discipling some of those ladies to become leaders in each of the clubs. My prayer for each one that I meet is spiritual growth in terms of increased knowledge and deeper love for the One who called them to eternal salvation.

About Brenda

I grew up in a house where my dad used to take alcohol and do all sorts of other things that I knew were not right. However, I always went to church and enjoyed company with my church friends at church every holiday. I was also in scripture union in school. I thought that was enough until I realised I needed to believe Christ which I did during a church service when a pastor made an alter call in 2010. My going to church attitude then changed and I felt closer to God than before I got saved. The Lord later on in 2016 allowed me to join a Discipleship Training program at Word of life after which I also joined the Bible Institute.
Before I joined the Bible Institute, I could not understand the Bible on my own. I only read the Bible on Sunday when the preacher was preaching from it. The Bible institute gave me an opportunity to go through the Bible at least three times. Through the various expositions and Bible survey classes, my eyes were opened to the fact that the Bible is a living book, and I got a clear view of it and now find it easy to understand.
The discipline of Quiet time is one of the things that I have learnt to do daily and this strengthens me each day and restores me because I hear from God Himself. I have been equipped with a knowledge that I cannot contain to myself. 2Timothy 2:2 tells me to teach it to faithful ones who will also teach others.
I am currently serving as a Word of Life intern with Bible clubs which is an opportunity for me to impact a life who will also impact another. I pray that the Lord will keep leading me and continue to bring people to a place where they will know and love His word so that they are not led astray.
