Get to Know Caleb Nastasi

Ministry Description

I am very excited for the opportunity that I have to go to Argentina for two years as a missionary as a part of Word of Life's Cross-Cultural Internship program. While I am in Argentina, I will be working on my bachelor's in teaching English as a second language through Liberty online. As I do that, I will be taking what I am learning in the virtual classroom to the mission field, as I will teach English as a second language at a school on campus. I will also be learning Spanish and seeking to get fluent quickly as I seek to build relationships with people in Argentina and have greater opportunities to share the Gospel. Some key things that fuel my vision and Word of Life's vision for ministry are evangelism and discipleship. These past two years I have had the blessing of discipling and pouring into students, and I look forward for the opportunity to disciple students while I am in Argentina. I will have opportunities to get plugged into other ministries there with Word of Life as well as the local church there which I am so ecstatic about!

About Caleb

I grew up in a Christian household and I put my faith in Jesus at a young age. I grew up going to church and youth group and doing all the Christian things but I struggled to have a consistent vibrant relationship with the Lord. After high school, I decided to pursue the things of the world and to live how I wanted to live. After about two years of this self-centered lifestyle, I recognized how empty and meaningless the things of the world are and that the "fun" I had was futile and it was all vanity like Solomon says in Ecclesiastes. It became clear that the things of the world were fleeting and they failed to satisfy and fulfill in me what only Jesus could. I knew I needed to turn back to Him. I decided to start going back to church again and turn from that life I was living and He embraced me back into His arms just like the prodigal son.

Shortly after returning to the Lord I knew that I needed to take my relationship with the Lord seriously. I really wanted to deepen my faith and that's when I applied to the Word of Life Bible Institute where I spent two years learning about my awesome Savior while also being a part of so many awesome ministry opportunities. God started placing missions on my heart during a missions conference in 2022, and I committed to going wherever He'd have me go if that was His will for me. After going on a missions trip this past spring, there was no doubt that this is what God wanted me to do and now I cannot wait to take this step of faith as I seek to make Him known and help people take their next step with Jesus!
