About

Growing up in the church, my parents both loved the Lord and did their best to show me His love as well. They explained the gospel very clearly and I accepted Christ at the age of 6. I understood that Jesus loved me enough to die for my sins and take my punishment on Himself. But there was no life or heart change. I was simply following my parents' faith in order to excuse myself whenever I sinned.
In high school I struggled deeply with my identity. I believed popular agendas- doing things the world told me would bring me fulfillment but instead found deeper emptiness. I put my worth and happiness in friendships- attempting to find my identity in those things instead of Jesus. I struggled very deeply with depression during this time and it was an empty time in my life, because I had no purpose. I was looking for hope in everything except for Jesus.
During my senior year my parents encouraged me to tour Word of Life Bible Institute. I was able to see groups of young people who loved the Lord, and were filled with such joy. I craved the same joy and security they had. That night I rededicated my life to the Lord, and since then my life has new purpose and joy. I no longer struggle with the same deep depression because I no longer put my identity in things of the world, but in Jesus Christ. I understand now that He is the only one who can fulfill my needs.

From there I attended the Bible Institute- committing two years to dive deep into God's word, and growing in my awe and understanding of Him. I was able to see ministry in such beautiful and practical ways. I knew I loved people and wanted to serve Him. I was able to serve in Romania and Guatemala on missions trips over the past years, and through those experiences the Lord confirmed my steps in serving in Poland for the next two years!
