Ministry Description

For more than 32 years we have served the Lord with one mission: to plant engaging youth ministries in the local churches of Long Island, NYC, and Northern and Central NJ.

We provide youth ministry coaching and training to children's and youth ministry leaders, equipping them with curriculum and resources to help them reach their communities with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We invest many hours traversing our area of ministry investing in the spiritual lives of our leaders and encouraging pastors in their ministries.

About Dave

I first heard the Gospel when I was 7 years old through two ladies in Paterson, NJ, who invited neighborhood children into their home once a week to share Bible stories. I didn't fully understand the Gospel until the age of 15, at a local church. In 1982, Kate and I began attending a church where the pastor was intentional about discipleship and I really began to grow spiritually. I became frustrated at the lack of growth I had missed due to a lack of discipleship and vowed to the Lord that if I ever had the opportunity to disciple others I would do so. At a Missions Conference at Word of Life I was burdened to reach young people with the Gospel and see them grounded and growing in their faith. The Word of Life Local Church Ministry allows me to have an impact in the lives of many young people through evangelism, discipleship and leadership training.

About Kate

At the age of 16 I receive Christ as my Savior through the ministry of a public school Christian Club. At this same club I met Dave. We were married in 1981 and served in our local church for seven years. By 1989, we had four children and an increasing burden to serve the Lord full-time. After committing our lives to serve the Lord full-time, Dave attended Word of Life Bible Institute. During that first year, we realized we could fulfill our desire to see young people saved and discipled through the ministry of WOL Local Church Ministries.
Dave and I have five great children: (Josh (married to Hannah Faye), Chelsea, Jill (married to Jeremy), Abbianne, and Shauna). We also have two grandchidlren, Eden and Bransen!
