Ministry Description

About Dima's ministry

I work in the maintenance department of our campus: I maintain service vehicles, petrol technology and hand tools. Also I maintain the electrical grid. During the Bible Institute along with students I go to evangelism and to visit churches. Also I do sound and light effects for our conferences and camps. I am glad to serve with what I am able to!

About Margarita's ministry

Today, as in my teenage years, my ministry is closely connected with music. But one of the most special parts is building close and trusting relationships with students. This is discipleship and mentoring. God often brings me together with girls who, like me in the past, have been in church for many years but have not truly understood the Gospel. I love telling them about Christ — the One who has already done everything for them, who loves them, and who desires a relationship with them.

About Dimitriy

ABOUT DIMA

I was born in a Christian family. My parents were ministering at a baptist church. My father was a pastor and my mother sang and accompanied for the choir. I spent a lot of time at church, heard the Gospel many times, but nobody ever explained it to me in a way that I would understand it. When I was 15 my father died and I began to think more about the reality of death. After this I was invited to join a Bible study group where, studying the Gospel, I realized that my sins need to be forgiven. I believed that Christ died and rose again for me, therefore I asked Him to forgive my sins and to give me an eternal life. Desiring to get to know better my God, I went to a Bible Institute. Reading the Bible, I noticed 2 Cor. 5:14-15. I realized that God wants me to serve Him full time. I didn't know how much longer I will live, therefore I decided to invest my life into ministry. After my studies I became a missionary at Word of Life Ukraine.

ABOUT MARGARITA

I was born into a large Christian family in Izmail, Ukraine. In 1993, my father went on a mission trip to Cheboksary, Russia. From my early childhood, I saw how my parents and older brothers and sisters served God. As I grew up, I joined this active life of ministry.
At that time, I didn’t fully understand the Gospel, but I knew I didn’t want to live without God. I prayed, confessed my sins, and gave my life to Him. Since I am a musician, my ministry began in the choir. I directed youth, teen, and children’s choirs and prepared music programs for camps. Later, my sister and I joined a mission team. Twice a year, we traveled to Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. We organized camps, visited boarding schools, and shared about God with people who didn’t believe in Him.

Many years later, I finally understood the Gospel clearly. I realized with joy and relief that I am saved not by my good works, but only by Christ — through His death and resurrection. I began to pray for God to show me where He wanted me to serve next. In 2017, I visited Word of Life for a few days. I was deeply impressed by the focus on Christ, the personal relationship with Him, and the importance of the Word of God. Later, I came to study here, and during that time, the Lord called me to serve in this ministry. Dima, who was already a missionary at Word of Life, invited me to continue serving together as a family. It is a great blessing to be in ministry side by side.

But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Rom. 5:8
