Learn more about the ministry in the United States.
I was born into a family of people who loved the Lord, and from the time I can remember I was shown the love of God. It was not until I was six year old though that I realized for the first time that I needed a relationship with Jesus, and in order to receive that I needed to confess my sin and trust in Christ alone for salvation accomplished solely by His death of the cross and resurrection three days later. Since that night that I started my relationship with Christ I have grown a passion for studying God's Word and thats all I wanted to do with my life. From a young age it was my dream to go to a school that I could study the Bible at which later led me to choosing to come to Word of Life Bible Institute for two years. My family all throughout my life was deeply involved in doing ministry with my parents running counseling sessions and Bible studies, my sisters in worship practices, and our family being a part of various other ministry opportunities. Growing up in that kind of environment developed my passion for doing ministry alongside family and like my sisters I also pursued music as a way to serve the Lord. From the age of five I had messed around on a drum set, but from when I was eight until now I started to take drums seriously as a way that I could serve the Lord and bless other people and from that point also wanted to pursue working in worship music ministry. For a long time I was growing in my faith and learning a lot about how to serve the Lord well but then one of the hardest challenges in my life made it hard to see that the tough situation I was going through would solidify my faith more than anything else. Back in 2017 my family lost everything in a house fire caused by a lightning strike, and for a long time I could not see all that the Lord would do to use that to give me a love for helping people even more than I already had. From experiencing that hardship with my family, the Lord had taught me all the more how to love His people and have empathy for them when they are struggling and be able to offer them the hope of the good news of Jesus. Since coming to Word of Life I have learned so much more about scripture and how to use my ministry skillsets and gifts better and put my passion for serving the Lord into practice. I have been so blessed by the Lord to have the opportunities He has given me the good and really hard ones to make me look more like His Son and serve His people, and I cannot wait to see what else He has in store.
