Ministry Description

I currently serve in the marketing team of the Dominican Republic. It involves creating a marketing strategy for camp, mission teams, our Discipleship Training Program (CCM in Spanish), and all ministry events. During the camp season, I also serve in the cafeteria and help to manage the cafeteria team. At my local church, I'm one of the leaders of the Bible Club and the Youth group. I'm also in the worship ministry and drama ministry, and I'm a Sunday school teacher as well.

About Jennifer

I grew up in a Christian home, where my grandfathers and my dad were pastors. From a young age, I got involved in the ministry field, but it wasn't until I was 13 that I understood I wasn't Christian. After accepting Jesus in my heart, I got involved in every ministry and activity I could. That's how I came to know Word of Life. I first used to attend the Bible Club at my church, then volunteered as a counselor during the camp season and as a translator during the medical trips. During the bonfire at the 2015's camp, I felt the urge to study the Bible, and in 2019 God provided everything for me to study His word at the WOL institute in Argentina. I had to come back abruptly in 2020 because of COVID-19. At that time, I felt lost since I thought I was going in the direction God wanted me to be, and coming back to the Dominican Republic felt like a step back. Because I'd been mad at God, I had many ups and down in my spiritual life. But during the preaching time at the summer camp in 2021, one sermon that felt made for me, God told me to leave everything and to follow His lead. At that moment, I understood that I was going my way but expected it to be God's will. So, I left my job and started to serve for Word of Life.

I couldn't be more thankful to God for being patient with me and giving me more than I'd ever asked. I just wanted to serve God, but he has given me opportunities I never thought I'd have. I pray to be faithful and thankful for what he's done for me.
