About Jared

I was born and raised in a Christian household and a very ministry minded family. Through Word of Life and my Church's Olympians program I came to know Christ at the age of six. During Middle and High School I struggled a lot with my faith and did not always make the right choices but I had wonderful friends and people in my life who continuously pointed me to the Lord and helped me to become mission-minded. During seventh grade to senior year I helped my church out with audio/visual work for my church. During the summers of High School I worked and served at the Word of Life Ranch and Wild. Through the later part of my senior year of High School and my years at the Bible Institute my heart really felt lead to Africa and all the countries there! So, I served in South Africa for a short time before God brought me back to the Bible Institute to have me join the Biblical Counseling Internship!

About Katelyn

I grew up in a household with parents who loved the Lord. We were super involved in our church, and were there whenever the doors were open. I came to the knowledge of Christ at a young age, but I just continued to go through the motions. As I grew up, I continued to go to church, but my personal walk was non existent. It was not until I came to Word of Life the summer of 2017 to work at The Ranch and Wild for Camp Crew. During that summer, I was surrounded with The Love of Christ and truly understood what it meant to have a relationship with the Lord. After High School I didn't know what to do, so I decided to come to the Word of Life Bible institute as a "gap year". I had no idea at the time That this "gap year" would turn into the rest of my life. During these two years I learned so much, including what it meant to live a life for the Gospel. I developed a passion for the Gospel, and missions and felt the Lord calling me to go. Here I am now with the amazing opportunity to be a missionary to South Africa.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
