Ministry Description

I help in the kitchen as a cook, so that everyone who comes to us to listen to God's Word, would be well-fed. Also I make shopping lists of all the necessary groceries. Another area of my responsibility is to prepare everything necessary for those who visit us, so that they would feel comfortable staying with us. Also I am in charge of mailing Quite Time Diaries to church Bible study groups, as well as to anyone who wants to have a systematic Bible study. On weekends I get to evangelize on the streets of Kiev along with our students and staff.

About Katja

I am grateful to the Lord that today I may serve Him and be a useful instrument in His hands. It's a great privilege for me and a great challenge. Since I was 11 years old, when my mother passed away, I was angry with God and decided not to believe in His love for me. But God continued His work in my heart, and when I was 14, I fully realized what is separating me from God, and with faith I turned to Jesus as a personal Savior. In 2007 I came to a Word of Life summer camp where found out about Word of Life mission. In September of the same year I came to study at the Bible Institute. It was a wonderful time of studying God's Word that shaped my convictions and principles of Christian life. Lots of things changed in my life during this time: I decided to live for eternal values and to devote myself to full-time ministry for the Lord. After completing my studies, I joined the Word of Life mission. Step by step God revealed to me great opportunities for preaching the Gospel and spiritual influence on young people through all areas of mission ministry. The Lord is teaching me to follow His guidance in everything I do, as well as to be dependent on Him in provision and covering necessary needs. I am grateful that I can be part of God's work, and I thank all the people who support me in this.
