Ministry Description

After graduating from my second year at Word of Life Bible Institute in the summer of 2024, I had the unexpected and beautiful opportunity to serve with Word of Life South Korea for several months. It was a season of growth, and a time of refining and learning. Although I didn’t plan to return, God opened the door again in spring 2025 for me to come back—and this time, stay throughout spring and summer. It’s not what I imagined, but it’s exactly where I’m meant to be.

Here in South Korea, our team reaches hundreds of students each week through Bible Clubs—a ministry that uses English as a tool to share the gospel and disciple young hearts. Schools often welcome us because of the English curriculum, but what they receive is something far deeper: the hope of Jesus, presented clearly and consistently through God’s Word.

One of my favorite parts of this ministry is writing weekly drama scripts that we present at the schools. I’ve always loved creativity and storytelling, and now I get to use that passion to create fun, meaningful skits that help students understand biblical truths in ways that are engaging and memorable. It’s such a joy to see how laughter and story can open hearts to serious truth.

Beyond the skits, I treasure the moments I get to sit with students in small group settings. These conversations are where walls come down, questions come up, and faith begins to take root. Hearing about their personal lives and walking with them through struggles is a privilege I don’t take for granted.

I’m also deeply moved by the moments we spend in open-air evangelism—sharing the gospel on the streets, trusting God to draw people to Himself through our words and our presence. Whether it’s connecting through a small gift, like giving out iced tea with a gospel tract, a conversation, or an english cafe to have deep conversation, the mission is always the same: to make Christ known.

This June, I’ll be joining our team on a mission trip to Da Lat, Vietnam, where we’ll host an English camp for over 100 teens. We’ll use language lessons, games, and Bible teaching to share the gospel in a place where the good news is rarely heard. I’m filled with anticipation for what God will do there.

God has shown me that none of my experiences—my multicultural upbringing, my love for language, or my creative passions—are accidents. He’s using them all. And wherever He sends me, whether it’s Korea, Vietnam, Argentina or beyond, I want to be faithful: to love people deeply, to make disciples intentionally, and to keep proclaiming the beautiful, redeeming love of Jesus!

About Lina

I was born in Germany and raised in Spain, in a family shaped by many cultures. With a Korean mother and a German father, I grew up speaking multiple languages and switching between cultures without really understanding why my life was so… different. It felt like I didn’t quite belong anywhere, and though I loved people and languages, I had no idea what any of it was for.

I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was young, but as I grew older, I started to doubt. I knew about God, but I didn’t really know Him. My heart was restless—I kept searching for value, identity, and purpose in the things around me. I was tired of trying to be good enough, of feeling like I had to earn love, like I had to prove I was worth something. No matter how hard I tried, I still felt empty.

But at the age of sixteen, everything changed.

That’s when the truth of the gospel truly broke through: that God wasn’t asking me to fix myself—He was offering me grace. I realized that Jesus loved me as I was, not as I “should’ve been.” He had already paid the price for my sin, and He was inviting me into a relationship, not a performance. I surrendered my life to Him, and from that moment, everything began to shift.

The Word of God became my anchor. I found a peace and identity in Jesus that I had been chasing for years—and I began to see that all the pieces of my life, even the confusing ones, had a purpose. My multicultural background, my love for languages, my ache to connect across borders—none of it was random. God had crafted my story with intention, and I wanted to give it all back to Him.

That desire led me to study at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida and New York. Those two years deepened my walk with God and opened my eyes to His heart for the world. I saw how He could use ordinary people—like me—to bring His extraordinary love to those who are hurting, doubting, and lost.

I don’t know exactly where He’ll take me next, but I know who I belong to. My life is His. And wherever He places me, I want to love Him fully and share the living hope I’ve found in Jesus.

There is nothing more beautiful than walking with Him—and nothing I’d rather do with my life than help others find the same love and freedom that set me free.

Psalm 63:3-8 Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.
