Hi, I'm Morgan Chancey. I minister in the United Kingdom.
Throughout this trip, I have the amazing opportunity to walk alongside local church leaders partnered with Word of Life UK and support them as they lead the body of Christ. I will be serving in youth ministries, leading bible studies, evangelizing to the community, and encouraging the local church. My goal is to encourage leaders who don't receive an adequate amount of support in their church and to bridge gaps in areas most needed. I look forward to seeing the beauty of God's creation in another nation and sharing the Good News to our brothers and sisters around the world!

I grew up in a loving and supportive Christ-centered home. In 2013, my family moved to Clarksville, Tennessee, where we began searching for a church. When we finally settled into one, my sister and I started attending Sunday school, but unfortunately, that experience was marked by what I now recognize as “church hurt.” Some leaders made fun of me for not knowing Bible stories or how to navigate Scripture, which led to deep bitterness and anger toward church on Sundays. During that same time, friends began inviting me to youth groups and summer camps. At one particular camp, I decided to give my life to Jesus—not out of a deep relationship, but out of a desire to know Him and be assured of salvation. Throughout middle and high school, I struggled with intense anger and self-loathing. I knew who Jesus was, but I didn’t truly know Him personally, and that disconnect left me feeling empty and frustrated. Despite this, I continued attending youth group consistently. During high school, I met a friend who modeled what a genuine relationship with Jesus looked like. She encouraged me to spend time with the Lord daily and reflect on His goodness. Through her influence, I began building a personal relationship with Christ. I also became involved in the worship band, playing keyboard and pad for youth services and church events. During this time, the Lord began to meet me where I was and slowly soften my heart.
Before graduating high school, I felt convicted to publicly declare my faith, and I was baptized the day before
my high school graduation. When I went to college, the Lord placed me in an incredible community through the Baptist Collegiate Ministry. That community shaped my faith in profound ways, teaching me the importance of intentionality, accountability, and daily dependence on the Lord. Over time, God also healed my bitterness toward the church that had once hurt me. Today, I genuinely love the church, and it has been incredible to see my family grow in their faith as well. As I’ve continued to pursue the Lord, He has filled my life with a deep sense of joy and a burden to go and share the gospel. Since attending college, I have attended three separate mission trips and the Lord has really placed the desire on my heart to spread the gospel to ALL NATIONS. So, in following this calling, I am pursuing a trip to Edinburgh, Scotland to support His people.
