Ministry Description

The ministry that the Lord has graciously allowed me to be in is "Overflow Legacy." This is a traveling worship band that is made up of Word of Life Bible Institute alumni. We will be traveling across the United States to lead worship through music, teach lessons from The Bible, share what God is doing through Word of Life ministries, and talk with people of all ages about our God and who he is. We will be traveling for nine months, visiting many schools and churches to do these things. During this time on the Legacy band, we will also get to serve on a missions trip. To be able to do this, I need help both financially and in prayer! Both of these things are so important and I want to thank you for whichever way of support you choose to help me in this ministry. About Macy

I grew up as a pastors kid in my home church. I was always happy to be there and serve or get involved in any way possible. I was blessed to be surrounded by loving believers and became curious about what it took to accept Christ into my heart and to live like the many role models in my life. I talked to my mom about these curious thoughts and how I wanted to have what these other people had. At a young age, my mom walked through the Gospel very clearly with me one morning and I accepted Christ in that moment.

From there I just had a lot of maturing to do. I needed to learn what it meant to truly live like a follower of Christ. Through many trials and struggles with sin in my life, I had to learn to cling to the Lord more than anyone or anything else. Trying to do life on my own was not working and I knew I needed to take God seriously and begin trusting in his promises. At my lowest point, I began to see the grace God had been showing me despite my mistakes. From there, I decided to take him more seriously and truly seek an authentic relationship with him.

I was always involved in the church, but usually for the wrong/selfish reasons. I began learning what my gifts were and how to best use them for the Lord. This included things like singing in the youth band and volunteering for church events. I always had a big heart to serve wherever I was needed. However, I had to begin understanding the real reasons why we should serve others. It was not for my own pleasure or to build my reputation, but to pour out Christ's love unto others, help them see Christ through the ministry he graciously placed me in, and to glorify him. I had a bandmate remind me one time that I needed to stop worrying about my performance and just worship the Lord, because ultimately none of this is about me. It is about praising and worshipping God for all of the amazing things He has done. Since then, God has grown my heart to truly worship him and remember that everything I do is for him alone.

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
