Ministry Description

I am currently serving with Word of Life Fellowship Uganda. When I joined the Bible Institute a little over 5 years ago, I did not imagine that one day I day I would have the great privilege of serving as a counselor with WOL. It is only by looking back that I can see God's handiwork in bringing me to where I am. There is so much suffering and sin in the world (and in the church) and the need for Biblical counseling is growing greater by the day. As people ask lots of questions about life issues, we hope to point them to the answer; the TRUTH, the Word of God. As they share their stories, we hope to point them to Christ Jesus, the one who saves and gives life! He enables me to do this through everyday conversations and also through intentional counseling sessions with students, staff and the community.

About Miriam

I grew up in a Christian home with both parents born again and serving the Lord full time. Right from early childhood they taught us about the need for individual relationship with God. One day after watching "Heaven's gate and Hell's flames", I decided to have Jesus as my Savior and Lord. That day, salvation was no longer about my parents but about God and I. I finally understood my helplessness without God and that this relationship that I wanted was possible only by believing in Christ Jesus. I made the choice to have Christ as Lord and Savior on that day. Since then, the Lord has been building me up for that which He alone has prepared for me. I have been involved in ministry in several ways and through out my life. Recently, God has lovingly and gently pushed me out of my comfort zone, leading me to sharing a home with Bible Institute students and I have seen Him grow me in my dependence on Him to be able to lovingly, patiently and sacrificially disciple these young ladies. There is no doubt that it is Him at work in and through me for left on my own, I would normally run in the opposite direction.
