Ministry Description

Hi! My name is Nadene Edwards and I have this awesome opportunity to minister with a health care team in the Dominican Republic! For my birthday this fall, I will be joining one of Word of Lifes health care teams in the DR where every patient we treat will hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The goal is to treat and share the Good News with over 800 people on this trip. Word of Life Dominican Republic is passionate to train up youth and other young leaders to reach their generation for the Gospel! This is an 8-day, short term missions' trip from October 28th - November 4th. The trip cast $900 + international airfare. Trip cost will include emergency travel insurance, medications/supplies, and in-country expenses (food, housing, and local transportation), and a small contribution towards medications and supplies.

About Nadene

As I pursue my bachelor's in health and science, and my master's in nutrition, I want to practice my studies in the mission field. My hope and goal for the future is to support and/or serve in the mission field with fellow believers using the gifts and position God's given me. Whether I am in the states or out of the country, the Lord will still use me for His ministry. Whether I have a degree or not, the Lord will still use me to further his kingdom. I am so excited to partner alongside this incredible team and share the gospel with these families, workers, providers, and the community. Our goal as a team on this trip is to share the hope of Christ Jesus who died on a cross and three days later, rose from the grave so that we could have a relationship with Him. (1 Corinthians 15:3)
