Ministry Description

With Word of Life Poland, I will be involved in a ministry called English4Life. English4Life is a four-week long course where students will move onto the property and live alongside staff like myself. WOL Poland also hosts online and in-person English Café's. During both of these ministries, students will be able to learn English from native English speakers, and we will have the opportunity to share the Gospel with them. I also have the responsibility of helping to run winter and summer camps for teens, local church ministry, Bible studies, and youth events.

About

I accepted God's gift of salvation when I was eight years old. For a long time, I only understood this decision to be one that had eternal implications, not current ones. I didn't allow the Word of God to guide my day to day life. Late in high school, I came to the realization that I had to live according to the scripture that I based my salvation on. Nothing else in life would ever compare to the Lord. I applied to the Word of Life Bible Institute to build for myself: a foundation of knowledge about the scriptures, my convictions, my theology, and a defense for my faith.

I only planned on studying at Word of Life for one year- but the Lord had other plans. After months of internal battle, I returned for my sophomore year with the resolve to keep my heart open to whatever the Lord might have for me. That choice was made with the possibility in mind that "what the Lord might have for me" could include cross-cultural missions.
I believe that Christians should not wait for a specific calling to ministry. God has already made intentions clear when He wrote, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19) That calling looks different for each person, but mine has lead me to pursue this two-year missionary internship in Poland! I have had the privilege to go on several short-term missions' trips in the past. Each time, I have seen the Lord work in ways I never expected. He has provided abundantly despite my moments of doubt. I'm so excited to see how He will continue to work through me!
