Ministry Description

Victor and Haruko minister with Word of Life in San Miguel del Monte, Buenos Aires, Argentina, focusing on helping local churches develop a passion for evangelism and grow in biblical knowledge. Their ministry includes counseling, teaching, discipling, and leadership development.

Victor, with over 20 years of teaching experience, has served as a professor in Argentina and Peru and as a pastor in Brazil. He is currently the IT Department Coordinator and teaches virtual classes on the Epistles of Peter. Haruko serves in the "Study Department" for the online platform of Word of Life Bible Institute and is involved in women's ministry.

Together, they have experience leading couples’ and youth camps, small groups, and conferences. They are grateful to serve as a family, having ministered in Brazil, Peru, and now Argentina.

About Victor

Victor was born in Peru in a Christian family and accepted Jesus as his Savior at age 7. Although he was baptized at 10, he strayed from God during his teenage years. In college, after being impacted by a passionate group of young evangelists, he recommitted his life to God. He then began attending "Príncipe de Paz" Evangelical Church, where he met his wife, Haruko, and they married in 1994. In 1998, Victor and his family moved to Argentina for Bible studies, where he felt called to be a full-time missionary, using his profession to serve God.

Haruko, also born in Peru but in a non-Christian family, trusted Jesus as her Savior at 19 after joining a Christian group in university. She became involved in her local church, teaching Sunday school, and eventually met Victor. Together, they have three children, Mauricio, Matias, and Mariano, all of whom are deeply involved in ministry.

Mauricio recently traveled to Paraguay to begin a new chapter in his life. He is in the process of establishing himself in the country, with plans to become engaged and eventually get married. At the same time, he is actively involved in his local church, seeking to serve and grow in his faith during this important season of transition.

Matías continues serving faithfully in the music ministry. God has graciously provided the resources for his upcoming move to Chile, and he has already purchased his ticket, with plans to travel in September. As he prepares for this new stage of life, he is looking forward to becoming actively involved in a local church and is also making plans to become engaged and get married in the future.

Mariano, for his part, is currently raising financial support for an exploratory trip to Germany. He senses God's leading toward a new chapter in his life and desires to receive training that will prepare him to serve as a worship pastor. He is prayerfully seeking the Lord's guidance and provision as he takes these next steps.
